CREATING TRAUMA AWARE COMMUNITIES (CTAC)

CTAC (Creating Trauma Aware Communities) is an experiential training program that assists communities in responding to traumatic events. These immersive, interactive workshops demonstrate trauma's impact on the body, brain and behavior of individuals, communities and organizations. Participants explore their own trauma stories and learn evidence-based strategies for personal and collective healing.

The CTAC program offers customized trainings for U.S. and global audiences, with content tailored to regional and cultural contexts. CTAC workshops address a wide range of trauma-inducing dynamics, from armed conflict and humanitarian crises to gang violence, hate crimes and school-based incidents.

CTAC training teams are committed to active learner engagement and help build collaborative networks for continued peer mentoring and support. Workshop participants gain enhanced understanding of trauma's impact on themselves and others; they design concrete action plans for integrating trauma awareness and resiliency into their daily life and work.
